- Carver and Unicorn are facing each other, which at first glance would seem to be harmonious, as this could represent a meeting, a coming together.
However, Carver is associated with the sign Leo, and Unicorn with the sign Scorpio, and these two are determined signs of strong character, with Carver a Fire sign, Unicorn a Water sign (the associated signs are listed at the end of the delineations for each Celebrant).
Carver represents play, but with a mixture of sincerity, while Unicorn represents a total metamorphosis.

It seemed that it would be unlikely for anything positive or new to come out of calling him, beyond a stirring up of old animosities that were irreparable. Later it was discovered that the old partner had not only found a new companion, but he had taken special pains to make distance between the two former lovers.
