The next example’s meaning is clearly illustrated by the visual relationship and the astrological symbolism of the signs between the first two Celebrants, with the Apex Celebrant’s meaning and visual implication defining the potential result:
The question here concerned an individual who wanted to call her former lover.
- Carver and Unicorn are facing each other, which at first glance would seem to be harmonious, as this could represent a meeting, a coming together.
However, Carver is associated with the sign Leo, and Unicorn with the sign Scorpio, and these two are determined signs of strong character, with Carver a Fire sign, Unicorn a Water sign (the associated signs are listed at the end of the delineations for each Celebrant).
Carver represents play, but with a mixture of sincerity, while Unicorn represents a total metamorphosis.
While Carver in true Leo fashion represents what is expressive and romantic, Unicorn in the Second position shows how these two people had changed significantly.
- Lovers in State as the Apex Celebrant has two figures which, while joined are also evenly divided and accentuates the division between these two. Despite the word Lovers in its name, Loves in State can refer to finality, and not necessarily to unity. It should be emphasized that Lovers in State does not always indicate a negative result. Because conditions Lovers in State can refer to the final stages of relationships, where they cannot be expected to go further, or that they have reached a summit or a final form, the reader suggested forgoing calling the partner.
It seemed that it would be unlikely for anything positive or new to come out of calling him, beyond a stirring up of old animosities that were irreparable. Later it was discovered that the old partner had not only found a new companion, but he had taken special pains to make distance between the two former lovers.
